ASA is an opaque yellow amorphous polymer, odorless and non-toxic, and its flame retardancy can be achieved UL94HB grade, it burns slowly, and emits the smell of benzene and rubber.

ASA chemical stability is similar to ABS, resistant to oil, hydrochloric acid, dilute acid and alkali, but not resistant to esters, ketones, aromatics, chlorinated and alcohols. Compared with ABS, ASA does not contain double bonds. It can not only resist degradation, aging, and fading caused by ultraviolet radiation, but also can prevent decomposition and discoloration by heat-resistant oxygen during processing. It is precisely because of this that ASA has become one of the best weather-resistant varieties in plastics, and its aging resistance is more than 10 times higher than that of ABS.
